RC SNARE is the first channel strip plugin designed specifically to optimize the sound of real snare drums. The foundation of the technology in RC SNARE is AUTO tech which listens to the drum in real time and adapts how Body, Crack, and Ring react. Each element of the plugin signal chain is designed to give you control over the drum at each stage of the waveform without removing musicality from the performance. RC SNARE is natively low latency and low-CPU so you can focus on your song - not your tech.
ATTACK is a transient shaper focused on the initial stick hit of the snare. Reducing attack gives the drum a dark thud great for ballads whereas increasing ATTACK helps the snare cut through a dense mix.
RING uses AUTO to focus on the harmonic overtones only in the resonance of the drum. Reducing RING acts like a felt/mute whereas increasing RING enhances the natural overtones of the drum.
AIR adds high-end sheen to bring a snare to life or accentuate the strainer sound. AIR is enhanced by tube & transistor harmonics when increased. Decreasing air can help control an overly bright or harsh drum.
BODY uses RC MIX’s proprietary AUTO tech to learn the fundamental frequency of the snare drum and give you control of the drum’s foundation.
CRACK implements RC MIX’s AUTO tech to increase or decrease the important high-mid frequencies. Boosting CRACK also excites subtle, analog influenced harmonics.
PUNCH is a parallel compression circuit with added harmonics that thicken the fundamental frequencies of the snare without overly distorting or accentuating brittleness and bleed.
RC RING gives you one of the most powerful features from RC SNARE for FREE. AUTO tech in RC RING detects the ringing overtones of your snare and allows you to control how much you’d like to dampen or open up the drum. You no longer have to use felts, mutes or tape to control the sound of a drum. You can record any snare naturally and use RC RING to control how much or how little of the ringing overtones are coming through in the mix.
